This September NLND Berlin launches their first flagship startup program, built as a membership offering - Inflection Point.
With a vision to be the “Home of Industrial Transformation”, it’s been clear since day one that NLND’s startup offering would be vastly different from what’s out there in Berlin.
Inflection Point is shaped by what deeptech founders need: expertise on commercialisation topics, introductions to corporate partners, and environments where you can build, work or meet, all in a way that compliments the day-to-day of building a business.
Why a deeptech comercialisation program?
Germany's research base is strong — but turning that research into scaled, commercially successful companies remains the harder problem. Deeptech is now a meaningful and growing share of the country's startup landscape, yet the partnerships and capital these founders need to commercialise are becoming harder to secure, not easier.
Deeptech is 11% of the German startup scene.
The ecosystem shift from consumer tech to R&D-intensive science backed innovations as consequence of German academic and research global excellence. (Deutscher Startup Monitor 2025).
Corporate partnerships are declining.
The share of startups with corporate partnerships fell from 62% in 2024 to 56% in 2025. (Deutscher Startup Monitor 2025).
The growth-capital gap is widening.
Germany's annual deeptech growth-financing shortfall is projected to grow from around €4bn in 2026 to roughly €10bn by 2030. (UnternehmerTUM / Joachim Herz Stiftung, Dec 2025).

Rather than a standard 3 month cohort-based accelerator format, this is a membership. 3-months minimum participation, maximum one year to grow through the program. 24 startups in the first batch. Engage with the offering at a pace that complements your business growth.
